Chicken, cheese and Shiso (Japanese basil) are such a great combination!
Ingredients (about 8)
3 pieces (about 150g) of chicken tenderloin
4 sliced cheese, cut in half (melting)
4 Japanese basil leaves “Shiso”, cut in half
8 Spring roll sheets
Japanese sake
Salt and pepper
Vegetable oil
Instruction
1. In a bowl, place chicken tenderloin, and add sake, salt and pepper. Wrap it and microwave 1.5 -2 mins, or until it is cooked inside. Chop it roughly.
2. Place a spring roll sheet, with a corner pointing you. Place a half basil, a half sliced cheese 3-4 cms from the corner closest and pointing you. The two bottom corners of the cheese should be nearly close to the the edge of the sheet. Then add chopped chicken tenderloin on the cheese, and roll it once or twice, then fold the sides to inside, and roll it again. Close the roll with small amount of water on your finger.
3. Repeat this until all the ingredients are finished.
4. Put vegetable oin in a fry pan, and fry them until the outside looks light brown.
