Right on time! It is still summer, but it started becoming cooler in the evening so I need a cotton cardigan now!
This is the second kit I ordered from We are knitters. This is called “Son Cardigan“. This time, I knitted with their pima cotton in aquamarine which is one of my favorite summer colour. I used to wear a cardigan in the same colour when I was in the kindergarden as a part of their uniform, and by coincidence, I think the pattern is also similar so there was no reason not to try this cardigan.
The pattern was very straightforward, each piece doesn’t require any decrease thus very easy to assemble, and only sleeves needed increase to get the balloon look. This is the typical one you can knit while you are watching TV.
I also like the softness of the yarn, however it is a little splitty so you want to make sure you catch the yarn correctly not leaving any fibre. When you do blocking, all stitches look so much better. I may try to knit this cardigan with different yarn next time as I love this pattern and the shape.
