We use measuring cups very often so I spent good amount of time until I decide which one to buy, and found the set I am very happy with. Here are what I was expecting….
1. Made of stainless steel. Plastic is not easy to clean especially around the corner while measuring cups need to be always very clean.
2. Having pouring spouts on both sides. I am left handed, so I need it on right side or both sides.
3. Stack-able so that it is easy to keep them in a drawer.
4. Measurement marking should be engraved.
5. Marking should be in both cup and milliliter.
6. Sturdy.
7. Ideally ok to be on stove top so that I can melt butter, or make a sauce.
While there are plenty made of stainless steel, stackable, marking are etched in both cups and milliliters, most of them are either not having pouring spout at all, or having them but only for the right handed. Pouring spouts on both sides was something I could not be compromised and this is the reason I ended up spending a lot of time in a research. And finally I found this set which meets all the criteria I had. Yes it has pouring spouts on both sides, and it can be directly on stove top! It has a good weight so that can sit stably on the counter. I can’t be happier.
