When you want something healthy but not want to cook, this is perfect. As long as you have cooked rice like frozen rice, there is nothing you need to ‘cook’ really. It’s been a boom of tofu bowl recently in Japan and I love it!
Ingredients for 1 person
1 bowl of cooked rice (about 160g)
Half of a pack of Tofu (about 150g) *if you do a lot of topping 1/4 of tofu may be enough. Either soft or firm tofu should work.
grated ginger and soy sauce
Instruction
1. Open a tofu pack and get rid of the water in the pack. Keep the tofu in a fridge as cold Tofu on warm rice works so well.
2. Prepare warm cooked rice in a bowl.
3. Prepare any other toppings as you like.
4. Place the tofu on the rice, and add toppings you like.
5. Add soy sauce and ginger.
6. Break tofu while you eat.

Bonito flakes
Furikake
Chopped Kimchi
Natto (fermented beans)
